A Message from the Principal

Welcome to Mathews Elementary School!  Whether you are returning or joining the Mathews family for the first time, we want this year to be a great experience for you.  Mathews is a wonderful school, with a wonderful, caring faculty and staff, supportive parents and great group of students.  With all of us working together we know that we can achieve great things! 

We encourage all our parents to look for opportunities to visit our school.  Whether you are having lunch with your child, visiting in the classroom, or volunteering with the PTA, there is a place for you.  By participating in your child’s learning, you will not only be helping him or her achieve great things, you will also build strong ties that will last a lifetime. 

Whether you are reading this message in the Student/Parent Handbook or on the Mathews Elementary School website, we hope that you will find helpful information. Please read the handbook carefully, and if you ever have a question about anything here at Mathews, please do not hesitate to call the school.  We will make every effort to be of help to you.

I look forward to my first full year as principal at Mathews.  We have overcome some real challenges, but know that we are stronger for it.   Memories are what we have to cling to, and we will make new memories throughout the year.
